According to the information available online, Joseph Boinett graduated with a Bachelor of Arts International Studies and Diplomacy from the Washington International University. The said university is listed as unaccredited and a name variously used by fake universities to market their courses online to the gullible.

Allan Wadi Okong’o who was recently arrested while crossing or in Uganda was apparently presented to court, convicted and jailed for two years without a fine for “undermining the authority of President Uhuru.”

According to police sources, Allan was psychologically tortured and bullied into admitting the offence with a promise that he would only get a light sentence for the offence but he was surprised when the final verdict was delivered in the case.

According to the charge sheet which quoted Section 13 (a), (b) and 2 of the National Cohesion Act, the charge sheet read as in the picture below. The charges and manner of his conviction presents various questions.

Allan was jailed by one Anne Waguru who is a resident magistrate at the Milimani Law Courts. Only State House allied bloggers had access to the case. Allan’s case was not listed at Milimani Law Courts.

Questions have been raised from various quarters as Raila Odinga’s family now mourn the death of Fidel Castro Odinga. Fidel died in his sleep Sunday morning after a night out with friends in various entertainment spots.

Fidel was last seen at Capital Club in the company of one Maureen Thiong’o whom he said to have dropped home. Fidel later went back to Capital Club where he stayed for a while before calling for Smart Fellas taxi services to drop him at his residence inside Bel Air County Homes gated community along Miotoni Road in Karen.

Some friends who had contact with Fidel include Fred Gumo’s son, Mayo Gumo, Robert Gichuru (son to Samuel Gichuru), Maureen Thiong’o and a Nelly Nyaga. Fidel met Tom Alila briefly at Rubicat before heading to Capital Club to meet Mabior Garang.

Fidel passed at Rubicat in the company of Billy Yaya who is a personal friend. Fidel passed through Rubicat where he found Atwoli, Hillary Alila, Jeremiah Owiti of UoN and Tom Alila waiting for Jirongo. He wanted to know if Tom Alila was also having some food poisoning issues like him. He said that they had lunch on Friday at Rubicat and he felt serious stomach discomfort. Tom Alila told him he didn’t have any stomach upsets.

Fidel then left for Capital Club where he picked Mabior Garang and headed to Sankara with him. At Sankara they just enjoyed themselves. Mayo Gumo joined them at Sankara.

The fact that Fidel complained of food poisoning raises issues. One of the persons he was with on Friday who is also his cousin, Andrew Ojwang’, died on Saturday morning.

The body of Fidel Odinga arrived at Lee Funeral home at 1pm this evening. A team of forensic investigators and pathologists had not left Fidel Odinga’s home by 7.30pm Sunday.

Mourners will converge at Raila’s home in Karen as Luo tradition dictates.

To those with little historical background, this is Jubilee Government rule policy: In 1991, after brutal, painful and costly fight to return country to multi-partyism, former despot Daniel Arap Moi, woke up one morning and announced to the amusement of his troops of KANU sycophants that he ‘accepts’ repeal of section 2A of constitution. Superficially, multipartyism was re-introduced.

However, Moi had more ideas. He won 1992 elections. How? Moi ensured colonial laws, which were bedrock of KANU dictatorship, remained intact. The laws included Public Security Order Act, Chief’s Act, Sedition laws and dentition powers. These totalitarian laws enforced unquestioning political obedience, inhibited freedom of expression and media, limited association and assembly, and crushed dissent.

Jubilee government has effectively revived, condensed and re-enacted all these barbaric laws in its rule policy. President appears technically to remain within Constitution but has amassed sweeping autocratic presidential powers through Executive Orders and government policies that have eroded powers and functions of independent offices and commissions without changing Constitution. Constitution will exist in paper.

It is back to reporting to Chief (county commissioner), no holding of rallies or meetings without license, demonstrations and free speech are penalized and criminalized, flow of information is fully curtailed, and police are law unto themselves. KANU-MOISM state is back fullscale.

Paul Kobia was early this week heard bragging to some patrons and the owner of Buffet Park, Mr Muya that he killed Hon Raila Odinga’s son, Fidel Odinga. In one of the most stupid showmanship, the thug and runaway killer who has connections right inside State House confessed to the patrons that he killed Fidel because he organised his assault.

The confessions were heard by friends of Fidel who have revealed this to security officers. Kobia made the confession on Monday night at Buffet park. The security officers have refused to act because Paul Kobia enjoys State House protection. He moves around in a convoy of cars including police chase cars. Paul Kobia is also always armed with weapons including shotguns and pistols.

It is not clear why Paul Kobia enjoys such kind of state protection. He is known to be a friend of Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko who has constantly refuted this saying that he is not a friend of Kobia.

Friends of Raila are now demanding that Kobia be arrested.

On December 20th, Paul Kobia promised his friends that he will make sure that Fidel Odinga is hurt. Kobia who was at the home of one Steve Mbogo spoke in the presence of UoN student leader Babu Owino. Steve Mbogo said that Fidel deserved to die and he would ensure that it happens.

After the publication of this post, Paul Kobia was taken to Gigiri Police station by Sonko and his armed brigade. But the Gigiri Police boss refused to lock him up arguing that he is mad and so should be taken to hospital. It is not clear how the Gigiri Police boss determined that Kobia is mad.

Kobia was later taken to Agha Khan hospital.

Weston Hotel which is associated with William Ruto has grabbed an acre of land belonging to Lang’ata Road Primary School and marked it for use as the hotel’s parking space.

The grabbing of the land has shocked teachers, parents and students of the school as officials of Nairobi County have been part of the grabbing. Nairobi County approved the construction of a perimeter wall carving out the playground from the school. A private developer fenced the hived piece of land in December sparking protest from stakeholders.

The school’s headmaster says that they have been intimidated especially during the four days when the hotel management fenced off the piece of land.

Sources within the Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology have revealed that the Cabinet Secretary has now recruited an army of hackers who have been tasked with hacking the accounts of key government critics including bloggers, journalists and activists.

Some of the hackers have been drawn from the IEBC as they were successfully used to hack the system and tamper with the tallying process changing the process a great deal.

Apart from hacking and monitoring activists and bloggers, the army has been tasked with inflitrating the computers of the critics ensuring that the government can remotely manage their email, social media and private mail accounts.

The army first grouped when a group of Chinese hackers embarrassed President Uhuru while he was on a trip to USA. They accessed diplomatic mails and other confidential communications and uploaded the same onto the web. The hackers later infiltrated the email system, Zimbra, used by the Deputy President’s staff and uploaded the confidential communication onto Chinese hackers’ social sites.

Some of the Diplomatic Documents hacked in government computers were uploaded onto servers in Eastern Europe, used by Chinese Cyber Army .

The hack created tension between the Kenyan and Chinese government resulting in the recent visit of the Chinese Foreign Minister who even asked the government to deport the hackers and not punish them. China is always hard on criminals and so the suggestion that Kenya deport the 77 hackers raised eyebrows leading to tech pundits asking what the Chinese government knew.

The Kenyan government recently demanded that ISPs hand over control of the Fibre landing stations to it, failure to which there will be forced acquisition of the same. The government is also training a group of military officers based at DoD Headquarters to monitors Kenyan cyber space.

Three young Kenyans are among 60 young people from across the Commonwealth who have been recognised as exceptional leaders in their community. These 60 young people are the first ever to receive a prestigious Queen’s Young Leaders Award.

The Award, which will be presented in London by Her Majesty The Queen in June, is part of The Queen’s Young Leaders Programme. It celebrates the achievements of young people who are taking the lead to transform the lives of others and make a lasting difference in their communities.

This year’s Award winners, aged between 18 and 29 and who come from all over the Commonwealth, are working to support others, raise awareness and inspire change on a variety of different issues including; education, climate change, gender equality, mental health and disability equality.

26 year old Abdikadir Aden Hassan from Garissa has been selected in recognition of his work to champion climate change. 27 year old Samuel Karuita from Nairobi has been acknowledged for her efforts to provide educational opportunities for marginalised young people, and 21 year old Caren Nelima Odanga from Mumias was selected in recognition of her initiative to support and educate women in rural Kenya.

The Queen’s Young Leaders Programme is an initiative established by The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust in partnership with Comic Relief and the Royal Commonwealth Society in recognition of The Queen’s lifetime of service to the Commonwealth.

In addition to the Queen’s Young Leaders Awards, the Programme will provide grants to support organisations in selected countries across the Commonwealth that work with young people to transform their lives.

Word started going around immediately after the marriage of the couple that Naima aka Ferrari Min Bentley was having affair with some players and Gor Mahia fans. Naima refuted the claims while Dan refused to comment about the allegations.

Sources close to the couple have revealed that Dan Oketch moved out after disagreeing with the wife over allegations of extramarital affairs.

Dan Met Naima at a Gor Mahia fundraiser. He then proposed to Naima during a Gor Mahia match in Nyayo National Stadium. The two even had their first born child, Bentley, during a Gor Mahia Open Day.

Both Naima and Dan have refused to comment about the breakup.

COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli has been admitted into Nairobi Hospital’s St Francis ward since Sunday. The trade unionist was hit by a massive stroke and had to be rushed to hospital.

Airtel Kenya which is part of the Bharti Airtel Group, has announced that it has successfully integrated the Essar Kenya, yuMobile, customers into its network. The process which started in August 2014 has seen the 2.55 million yuMobile customers successfully integrated into the Airtel network.

The migration now brings Airtel Kenya subscribers to 8 million with a 26.6 % customer market share.

yuMobile subscribers migrated to Airtel after the completion of of buyout which has seen Safaricom acquire the network’s tangible assets while Airtel Kenya opted for the subscribers. The move benefits yuMobile clients as they will also get to experience Airtel Kenya’s 3G network though mostly in various towns.

Deputy President is being reported by a section of the media as not the rightful owner of the controversial Weston Hotel which sits on the grabbed Kenya Civil Aviation land and was recently behind the grabbing of the Lang’ata Road Primary School playground.

Daily Nation has tried to do PR for William Ruto just the same way they did for him when KIMC demonstrated against Ruto grabbing their land but Nation and Standard changed the story to the students demonstrating against small amount of food. The Kenyan media is part of the corrupt system which is stifling the Kenyan nation.

But evidence in mainstream media which is available to all online reveal something sinister about Deputy President William Ruto’s relationship with Weston Hotel. When Citizen TV’s Evelyne Wambui did a “Newsmakers Piece” on Ruto, she followed him from the gym to his “constructions” and “developments” which he confessed on the clip that he loves undertaking.

Lawyers like Ahmednasir Abdullahi are just part of the schemers who try to win the faith of the public with some “criticism of the rulers” while in the real sense, he is part and parcel of the corrupt elite as he protects them.

Ruto named his apartments built on the grabbed Kenya Pipeline land in Makadara ‘Easton’. So Weston follows the naming scheme. Right?

KDF imported some arms from China. The materials used by KDF and part of the Kenya police are just not good enough for combat situations. A number of military personnel have complained that the bullet proof vests they are forced to wear during operations cannot withstand rifle fire.

The arms and body armour were bought from a company called XinXing in China and imported to Kenya on behalf of the government by a company called Tianjin.

The military and police officers who have used the bullet proof jackets are complaining that the quality is so low that they are not confident facing any military challenge while wearing the vests.

Taxi sharing company, Uber is set to launch its low cadre service, UberX in Nairobi. The company has reportedly partnered with restaurant discovery and booking search engine EatOut. The launch will happen during the Nairobi Restaurant Week where patrons would be able to sample food in some of the top restaurants at a discounted rate.

Uber’s entry in Kenya will cause jitters as Rocket Internet’s Easy Taxi is just trying to gain a foothold in the market. I have used the Easy Taxi services but the problem is that you don’t enjoy any cost benefit. This might change with the entry of Uber in the Kenyan market.

During the Nairobi Restaurant Week (22nd January 2015 till the 2nd February 2015), Uber riders will be able to claim up to 2 free rides worth a maximum of KSh 2,000.00 each. The riders will also be going to enjoy dinners at select (any of the 50 participating restaurants) Nairobi Restaurants at a fixed cost of between KSh 1,500.00 and Ksh 2000.

All a user would need is download the Uber app on mobile phone and use the call Uber Taxi feature on the app to get the taxi service. Users will use promotion code RW2015.

Joyful Women Organisation (JOYWO), whose head and founder is Mrs. Racheal Ruto is suppressing women in the Rift Valley region. Someone is actually running a lucrative business here, which is good but she’s misusing the loyalty these poor, uneducated women gat on her husband. As he is grabbing the world, the wife back here is running an organisation which looks like it’s meant to help raise the living standards of the village women but in actual sense, it is suppressing them more.

JOYWO is a micro-financial institution (but not micro anymore) whose purpose is to give loans to women and do other business establishment in the society. Where the problem sets in, in this organisation, is how it runs it’s operations. During it’s launch in the year 2009, Mrs Rachael Ruto took advantage of her husband’s influence in the region to organise a very big harambee which was attended by a good number of politicians, Hon. Ruto being the guest of honour.

Back then, JoyWo had a group of women in at least every village in the entire then Eldoret North Constituency. Every group was required to bring Kshs. 10,000 to that harambee irrespective of the number of women in the group. And that day, women alone were able to raise more than Ksh. 16M, Kshs. 18M being the total amount raised. When it was time for Hon Ruto to speak at the end of the harambee, he said and i quote… “Kaaiwey chepyosok, ngagaa tindoi chepyosochu rabisiek chetya? Kamoche amwoiwok chepyosok ale chekwok rabishe chu, moiwei osom loan, kaikai kobarin loan kosir kobarin sinet” … “I am amazed by these women, so you had this kind of money? What i want to urge women is, don’t fear to take loan, this money belongs to you. You better die repaying the loan than die of poverty.” …

And I thought it was a great idea, until when the organisation picked up. I tried to calculate my mom’s interest on loan and was amazed to get that, JoyWo actually charges an interest of between 18% – 31% depending on the period and mode of repayment. Is that really logic? The money belongs to you, you raised it, you continue raising it every week, and you are being charged that kind of interest on loan…? Total bullshit!!

JoyWo got ‘teachers’ who go round every set day of the week, assembling the members in every chama, and he/she must leave with 5K from every group, every week. I told my mom that is nonsense and she must quit being a member. From Kshs. 18M, JoyWo is now worth close to Kshs. 1Billion in its bank account.

Another paining thing is that, members are being forced to buy stuff, whether they are in need of it or not. At the beginning I said its a lucrative business, for instance the scheme of water purifiers and the 2 weeks old chicks that every member was required to buy. Mrs. Ruto got hatching machines, which hatches the chicks in large numbers and I bet you saw it in the news recently. So, these women, my mother included were forced to buy the 2 weeks old chicks. Every member was a must to buy 4 chicks for Kshs. 1,000 ‘only’ Rachael citing that, the chicks were imported and they are the best breed ever that is why 1 cost Kshs. 250. Failure to buy, you are dismissed from being a member. It was the same case on the water purifiers. Lastly, 80% of the staff working for JoyWo are the relatives and close friends of the family.

Citizen TV presenter Julie Gichuru’s husband, Antony ‘Tony’ Gichuru, is listed as one of the owners of the Langata Road Primary School playground through Airport View Housing Company. In documents in our possession, Tony is listed with one Harbans Singh who is said to represent the interests of President Moi in many companies and Patrick Osero who represents Ruto in the dealings.

The involvement of Julie Gichuru’s husband raises questions but is not surprising as document in our possession also indicate that he is one of the people who “grabbed” 1200 hectares of the Nairobi County’s proposed sewerage plant land in Ruai.

Tony is son to former long serving KPLC boss and Moi right hand man, Samuel Gichuru. The family owns more than 5% of Safaricom which sources close to the family said that when Tony’s mother separated from Samuel Gichuru, Tony and her brothers ran away with the shareholding leading to serious conflicts in the family.

The revelations that Ruto is the actual owner of the hotel has also caused jittery with people close to Ruto making frantic calls from Hague where DP Ruto is attending ICC cases. Ruto has urged his friends, associates and some people he believe know more that they should wait for him to come back so that he can meet them and discuss.

Harbans Singh runs most of his illegal dealings through Harbans Singh Associates which has offices along Raphta Road in Westlands. He is a long time architect of former President Moi and a key wheeler-dealer.

Julie Gichuru’s husband involvement in the teargasing of Langata Road Primary School kids has seen the sassy presenter mute and just undecided on what side to support. Telling was her tweet that day (20th January) which didn’t mention the Lang’ata Road Primary school debacle but read;

Most of the retweets of Julie Gichuru revolving around the Monday incident when pupils of Langata Road Primary School were teargased, focused on her anger at “activists using kids.” Julie was not conscious to the fact that victims of the land grab were the pupils she believed were being used or “rented to activists and not the grabbers.

Ruto’s Weston Hotel was determined to grab the playground after the hotel converted its basement parking into a story as they lacked any. Resistance by pupils and activists to the machinations and attempts to hive off the playground from the school land has forced the hotel back to the drawing board as they must now look for a better place to turn into parking space.

The main cause of the frightening insecurity and instability that continues to engulf Kenya is a deeply corrupt state and endemic corruption. Government is protecting thieves of state.

Corruption has reached such an extent that government resembles glorified criminal gangs, bent solely on their own enrichment. These thieves of state and their state protecting criminal kleptocracy drive indignant Kenyan population to extremes.

A small a clique has hijacked the Kenya state. The clique is rewriting the laws, awarding themselves privileged access to land and crucial public resources. To sit back and dismiss Kenya state as weak or failing is self-illusion and naïve. Kenya state is in fact powerful and organized but for crime rather than providing critical public services to the people.

It is crystal clear from horrifying Lang’ata Road Primary events and state answers; Kenya state core activity is not in fact exercising the functions of a state but rather extracting resources for personal gain. It could as well be understood not as a state at all but as a vertically integrated criminal enterprise. It is therefore imperative for people of Kenya to quote Einstein ‘formulate the correct question rather than solution’.

The ability of state to mobilize and execute an unacceptable police operation of magnitude witnessed in Langa’ta Rdoad Primary tells us that corruption deep inside the compromised state institutions is an insidious force that is causing the most dangerous challenges Kenya is facing.

Kenyans remarkably underappreciate the extent of systemic corruption and carefully structured kleptocracy in Kenya and its enormous adverse impact on their lives.

Langa’ta Road Primary School state response provides a vivid, ground-level view on how pervasive corruption undermines Kenya governance and security breeding insecurity and instability. This barbaric incidence helps to cause proper understanding to Kenyans of the major source of insecurity, violent extremism, inequalities, poor public services and socio-political instability and the role state in fueling these causes.

The government, Kenyans have been relying on to fight corruption, is itself one of its most potent and insidious source. It also illustrates how corruption not only impacts ordinary people but also connection between deep corruption and civil violence. The real danger is that an abusive government elicits violent responses and putting the survival of the state at risk.

Nandi Hills MP Hon Alfred Kiptoo Keter stormed the Gilgil weigh-bridge yesterday demanding that the KENHA, SGS (contracted to man the bridge) and Kenya police workers who were manning the weigh-bridge to release a trailer which didn’t have authorisation to move on the road.

The trailers which are supposed to seek authorisation from KeNHA didn’t have any and so it was detained at the Gilgil weigh-bridge. The trailer is owned by Sunjeev Kour Birdi who is a URP nominated MP. The two MPs were travelling on Toyota Landcruiser KCA 800J and came from Nairobi in the middle of the night to threaten the workers.

The two MPs claimed that State House comptroller and others wanted the truck released as the president didn’t like the truck detained. When the MP realised that the workers were not letting the truck go, the MP stormed from the venue promising to make sure that the white owners of the company never get any contract.

The MP also promised to teach the workers a lesson and make sure they were all fired. This is one high level corruption which URP seems to condone with Alfred Keter openly bragging to the workers how he deals in big time corruption not small like the detention of a truck.

President Uhuru is targeting Raila’s strongholds in Nyanza. He wants to finish him in all ways he can. So he has trained his eyes on the Homabay Senate seat where he wants to see Philip Okundi elected and not Moses Kajwang.

So State House gave Ksh 10 million to Jeff Otieno who is a PA and confidante of Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero. This is after Kidero promised to deliver the seat and defeat Raila’s chosen candidate in Homabay. The money was delivered to Ian Okundi who is son to Philip Okundi at Panafric Hotel last week.

The money was in addition to Ksh 7 million which Kidero personally donated to Philip Okundi to boost his campaigns. Strategic media houses have also been given money to promote Okundi’s candidature over that of Moses Kajwang’.

Despite Kidero promising to deliver the seat, opinion polls from the ground and NIS own data indicate that Moses Kajwang has improved to more than 60% acceptability in the county. He is now out to convince a further 7 per cent believed to be the undecided.
